Jack’s vocabulary is coming on quite well, he can recognize a lot of things and say their names, he is now 22 months.
Here are a list of the words Jack recognizes so far:
Daddy, Mummy, Moo Moo (Mikey’s nickname), Graad (Grandad), Nanny, Unca Day (Uncle David), EE (Aunty Kelly), Nana, Birdy, Vasher (Washing Machine), Pretty Flower, Wow wave (airplane), Bin, Peppa (Peppa Pig), MiMi (Milk), Dodie (Dummy), Baaah (Bath), Trator (Tractor), Car, Gre-an (Green Man), Wave, Tree, Doggy, Connie (Mum’s Dog), Dyl (Mum’s Cat), JoJo (His cousin Jorgia), Oley (Nicole his cousin), Otin (Austin his cousin), Door, No, Yea, Golf, Wow, Emma (My name), Bubbles, Five, Four, Shoe, Buggy, Juice, Sausage, Choc Choc, Bus, Ta (Thank you).
There is bound to be a few I’ve forgotton, but wow it isn’t until I write it down that I realise how many words he actually knows! His choice words Mummy & Daddy are used to get what he wants, especially since he says Mummy in the most adorable way known to man.
Mummy is used when he’s “Creeping” for something ie. Toys, goodies or to get his own way about something, but when he’s demanding something what does he shout…Emma, yep my first name, the one everyone calls me by and of course so does Jack, it’s unbelievably cute but slightly irritating in the way I waited so long to be your mummy now call me it! But I could never tell him off for it, hopefully it’s a phase that passes and even if it isn’t, it’s quite hilarious.
So not only am I Emma to basically everyone in the world but also to my 22 month old, please Jack…Call Me Mummy!!
