A break from blogging

So  I’ve had a bit of a break from blogging the last few months. I’ve really missed it and feel there are so many things I have missed recording about my little monkey’s.

To re-cap I have two little boys Jack (2.5 yrs) and Michael (1.5 yrs) and write about all the trials and tribulations of being their mummy. Since I stopped blogging things have changed quite a lot, I am now expect a baby GIRL!

I will talk about my pregnancy more in upcoming posts but I’m still in shock it is a girl!

I just wanted to write a quick post about why I haven’t been blogging for a while, there has been no major reason other than life just getting in the way.

So now I have my 2yr old, 1 yr old, 20 weeks Pregnancy and my wedding in 8 weeks! Safe to say I have plenty to write about…..

I Survived!!

Some of you may have read my post about my first ever night away from my babies aged 3 months and 13 months, I was at the end of my tether with sleep deprivation and exhaustion.

Well Saturday night we walked them to my mum’s, stayed for a cup of tea, kissed them goodbye and of course…they didn’t bat an eyelid!

We came home and were just going to chill out in front of the TV but decided to dress up and go for a meal, my partner gave me a dress he had got me for Christmas as an early present (Think black and white version of the sexy Cameron Diaz in The Mask) and it fit perfectly, really boosted my post baby body confidence!

We had a lovely Italian 3 course meal with a cheeky alcoholic drink (my first in 2 years), came home and decided to get an early night, after a 13 hour sleep…refreshed!

We tidied the house ready for our boys to come home and went to collect them.

I have to say seeing their face excited to see us was the most amazing feeling and I appreciate them that much more now I’ve had a rest. They had so much fun at their Nanny’s house, Mikey (3 month old) was a bit restless in the night but my mum enjoyed rocking him, he went through 40…yes 40 ounces of milk, I think I’ve underestimated the amount he gets when he is breast feeding and Jack (13 month old) was not disillusioned one bit, he was fine going to sleep for 10 hours!

It’s safe to say the night apart did all four of us the world of good and now we’re enjoying a lovely Sunday evening, with a roast ham cooking away before Daddy goes back to work tomorrow.

I did it, I loosened to apron strings, I let go that little bit, my babies slept out overnight and…I SURVIVED!
